
David Scott Glicken received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. He is also a Dual Degree Graduate of Florida State University (B.S.: Political Science, B.S.: Criminal Justice). Mr. Glicken began practicing law with the Office of the State Attorney, Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida. He was a Division Chief assigned as the Legal Advisor of the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation responsible for the prosecution of organized crime and major drug trafficking cases (wiretaps, R.I.C.O., Statewide prosecutions). His responsibilities included the coordination and supervision of more than sixty (60) Law Enforcement Officers from multiple Law Enforcement Agencies in Central Florida
Mr. Glicken entered private practice and established his office in 1986. Mr. Glicken's legal experience has involved the litigation of domestic, criminal and civil cases in Florida, as well as other States. Mr. Glicken has appeared in the County, Circuit, Federal and Appellate Courts of Florida, including multiple appearances before the Justices of the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Glicken's legal experience has included the criminal prosecution and defense of misdemeanor and felony cases, including First Degree Murder Trials. Mr. Glicken has successfully obtained civil jury verdicts in excess of one million dollars. As a result of Mr. Glicken's career success, he currently represents multiple corporations pertaining to their civil litigation needs and issues.
Mr. Glicken is a previous Adjunct Professor at Valencia Community College having taught Business Law, Criminal Law, and Criminal Procedure. He also was an instructor at the Police Academy. Mr. Glicken is actively involved in community affairs having been appointed by the Mayor of Orlando to the Violent Crime Task Force Commission. Mr. Glicken volunteers as a Youth League Athletic Director for a local area school as well as volunteering as a Soccer Coach, Basketball Coach, Cross-Country Coach and Track Coach. Mr. Glicken is a previous recipient of the Greater Orlando Attorney Legal Society (G.O.A.L.S.) outstanding volunteer and was recognized by the Adam Walsh Child Resource for his commitment to children’s issues. Mr. Glicken donates in excess of five hundred hours yearly to charitable organizations throughout the Orlando area.
Mr. Glicken has been previously Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Mediator in County Civil, Circuit Civil, and Family Law matters. Mr. Glicken's legal experience as a Litigator (for more than 27 years) and former Certified Mediator, enables him to professionally represent his clients in litigation matters.
